Specialized Trainings

Specialized training:

1. Short-term Cornea fellowship (three months) at the L. V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, between July 1, 1997 and September 30, 1997.
2. Trained in contact lens fitting at the Indian Contact Lens Education Program (ICLEP) organized by the L. V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, in September 1997.
3. Sight Savers’ Intraocular Lens implantation training program at the L. V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, between October 1, 1997 and November 30, 1997.
4. Research fellow at the L. V. Prasad Eye Institute – December 1997.
5. Was deputed by Sankara Nethralaya to undergo a week’s hands-on surgical training program under Dr. Ravi Thomas – in Blumenthal’s technique of small incision non-phaco cataract surgery (SICS), at the Schell Eye Hospital, Christian Medical College, Vellore (July 2001).
6.  Performed 37 microkeratome lasiks and 2 PRKs under Dr. Rupal Shah’s expert guidance, at the New Vision Laser Centre, Baroda, during the course of a ten-day, hands-on training program, in April 2011.
7. One-month, hands-on training in retinal lasers at the L. V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, in May 2012
